the irony in being yourself lies in the fact that too often a time not many people will embrace you as who you are - even if they claim to do so.
i dislike solitude. but i don't like crowds either.
i am clingy and that is how i show my love to people i care about.
perhaps that is just my selfishness: my need to be with the people i love.
yes. i am clingy. probably too clingy by conventional standards.
and yes. you are always with me when i need you.
but love isn't just about giving...
i want you to take love from me too - just as i have taken love from you.
yet now it feels like you don't need me nor my love, even if you proclaim otherwise.
and a greater irony surfaces from this:
that the only way for my sadness to subdue, is for me to become less clingy.
to be less of myself.
to become more like you.
then does it imply that sooner or later,
neither of us would ever need the other anymore..?
a text a day.. a phone call a day..
gradually reduced to a date a month.
i know that there are alternative methods in showing affections..
but this is me..
&i am once again forced to admit that being me isn't all that good.
that changes would be for the better.
¬hing else can make me feel worse about myself than this.
