VOGUE - the love!
finally, the spring/summer 2008 trends are out (=
time to start planning your shopping lists and clear your wardrobe!

this season emphasises on feminine softness and that "swishy" feel to your outfit. floral and safari patterns are still in style (retro come-back!); but to add on to that, we are also going more cosmopolitan and artistic - by including elements like ethnic designs, or even abstract drawings and romantic watercolour on your dresses!

spring is the time to dress light - chiffon, silk, all the light materials that makes you want to swirl and dance. while summer - the boisterous yet laid back season for you to add deluxe accessories and extreme shoes to spice up a lil'. denim is also going to make a scene - a youthful flair created by unfinished seams and some raw edges to enhance the look of modern sophistication.

vogue has suggested that the ultimate item to splurge on this season is - the cluth. And remember: the bigger, the better (=

personally i like this season's colours very much - very romantic with tinges of baroque exquisiteness. The colours are pleasing to the senses; lilac, nude, snowy whiteness. it is a smooth transition from winter to spring, because from darker and more absolute shades, spring/summer 2008 seems to have faded rather gradually, from deep purple to lilac; at the same time retaining the feminine touch and detailed adornments which became lighter - breeze-caught feathers and couture folds. the hairstyles are easy and natural, conveying this girly type of simplicity; at the same time it can be sophisticated with large curls or just a clean look with defined hairline.

don't know why - but i get the feeling that we are all back in "Pride and Prejudice" - the exact feelings i had after watching the movie - romance, soothingness and feminity.
